There is no permanent free Spotify Premium. What exists is one free month from Spotify itself, a seat on a plan someone in your home already pays for, and ways to cover the bill with money you earned rather than money from your paycheck. Everything below was checked on spotify.com/us and support.spotify.com as of October 2026.
1. The one-month Premium Individual trial
Spotify’s US plans page lists Premium Individual as free for one month, and says the offer is only available if you have not tried Premium before. Two conditions in the trial terms matter:
One trial per person. Opening new accounts to repeat it breaks Spotify’s terms.
2. The Premium Student trial
Students at an eligible accredited college or university get the same free month on the Student plan, again only if they have not had Premium before. Spotify checks enrollment through SheerID: you fill in a form, then log in to your school portal or upload proof of enrollment, and the confirmation email can take several days.
After the free month the plan is paid, at a discount. The discount lasts up to four years and you have to reverify every 12 months. As of October 2026 the Student plan also includes Hulu (With Ads) at no extra cost.
3. A seat on a Premium Family plan
Premium Family covers up to six people who live together, including the plan manager. If a parent, partner or roommate at your address already pays for it and has an open seat, you get a full Premium account of your own for nothing.
The manager sends an invite link, you accept it with your own Spotify login, and you enter the same home address as the manager. That address step is the rule: Family is for people in one household, not for friends in other cities. Members can only switch plans once every 12 months.
4. The second seat on Premium Duo
Duo is the same idea for two people who live together. The plan manager invites you, you accept and confirm the same address. Only the manager gets the audiobook listening time that comes with the plan.
5. A Spotify gift card you already have
This one has changed. Spotify’s US help page says, as of October 2026, that Spotify gift cards are no longer available for purchase, and that previously purchased cards remain valid and can still be redeemed.
So if you were given a card, or have an unused one, redeem it at spotify.com/account/redeem. The limits Spotify lists:
6. Pay the bill with reward earnings
This is the only way that keeps working month after month, and it is not instant. On a rewards platform you complete tasks for points and cash the points out.
On CashyGo the math is fixed: 1,000 points is $1 and the minimum cashout is 5,000 points ($5). Surveys usually pay 500 to 5,000 points each, and mobile game offers pay up to 50,000 points for finishing every level goal. You can see what is open in your country on the Earn page. There is no guaranteed daily income; it depends on the offers available to you and the time you put in.
Then you choose how to cash out:
The card amounts and the other payout options are on the withdraw page. Compare the amount shown there with the current plan price on Spotify before you cash out.
What is not on this list
Modded Spotify apps, “premium account” sites that hand out shared logins, code generators and VPN tricks to sign up in another country. Spotify can close an account for any of them, and the sites offering them make their money from your login details or from malware.
FAQ
Can I get the free trial twice?
No. Spotify’s page says the offer is only for people who have not tried Premium before.
Can a friend add me to their Family plan?
Only if you live at the same address as the plan manager. You enter that address when you join.
How long does it take to earn a month of Premium on CashyGo?
It depends on the offers open to you and the time you put in. The fixed part is the math: the first cashout needs 5,000 points, a survey usually pays 500 to 5,000, and a finished game offer can pay up to 50,000.
