Apple Music has no free, ad-supported tier, so “free” means one of two things: a free trial from Apple, or paying the monthly bill with Apple Account balance you did not buy with your own money. Both are legitimate, and you can use them one after the other.
Everything below describes the United States as of October 2026. Trial lengths change, so read the offer shown on your own device.
The free options at a glance
1. The standard one-month trial
Apple’s Apple Music page lists one month free for new subscribers on the Individual, Family and Student plans. Apple’s student support page adds the limit that matters: one trial per person, and only if you are a new subscriber.
The plan renews automatically at the regular rate when the trial ends. Apple’s cancellation page says that if you do not want a trial to renew, you should cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Put the date in your calendar the day you sign up.
Before you confirm a cancellation, read the date on the cancellation screen so you know when your access ends.
2. Three months with a new device
Apple offers three months of Apple Music free with the purchase of an eligible device. The footnote on Apple’s page reads: the offer is good for three months after eligible device activation, and there is only one offer per Apple Account, regardless of how many eligible devices you buy.
Apple’s page named iPhone, iPad and Mac when checked in October 2026. The list changes, so look at apple.com/apple-music before you count on the offer for a particular product.
3. Apple One
Apple One bundles Apple Music with iCloud+, Apple TV and Apple Arcade on every tier. Apple’s page says any subscriptions you do not already have are free for the first month of Apple One, for new and qualified returning subscribers.
You will not get a second free month of Apple Music this way if you already subscribe, because the trial covers only services you are not already using.
4. The student plan
The student plan is not free after the trial, but it is the cheapest ongoing way to keep Apple Music. Apple’s requirements, as of October 2026:
5. Paying with Apple Gift Card balance
This is the only route that works month after month. Apple lists Apple Music among the things an Apple Gift Card can be used for, and its US payment methods page lists Apple Account balance, from redeeming an Apple Gift Card or adding funds, as an accepted payment method.
Apple Gift Cards are valid only for US transactions, so the card and your Apple Account both need to be US ones.
Keep enough balance on the account to cover each renewal, and look at your purchase history after the first one to confirm it was paid from balance.
Earning the gift card instead of buying it
On CashyGo you complete tasks such as game offers, surveys and app trials for points, then exchange the points for a gift card or cash:
So the path is: take surveys or finish a game offer, reach the cashout minimum, request an Apple gift card, redeem the code in the App Store, and let the balance cover Apple Music.
The card is a US Apple gift card, so it adds to the balance of a US Apple Account. The amounts you can choose are shown on the withdraw page.
CashyGo’s FAQ says there is no guaranteed daily income. What you earn depends on the offers available in your country and the time you put in. The withdraw page shows your point balance and every reward you can request. The rules are one account per person and no VPN, proxy or emulator.

FAQ
Is there a free version of Apple Music?
No. Apple Music is a paid subscription. The free routes are trials and paying with gift card balance.
Can an Apple Gift Card pay for Apple Music?
Yes. Apple lists Apple Music among the uses of an Apple Gift Card, and Apple Account balance is an accepted payment method in the US.
How long would it take to earn a month on CashyGo?
There is no fixed answer. CashyGo guarantees no daily amount, and the time depends on which offers you pick and how much time you give them. A single completed game offer can pay more than the cashout minimum, while surveys add up more slowly.
Do I need a credit card for the trial?
The sign-up screen tells you what Apple needs before the trial starts. Apple Account balance is an accepted payment method in the US, so a redeemed gift card is one way to have a payment method on the account.
